Role context and scope:

Alive! is a Bristol-based charity which has grown rapidly to become one of the UK’s leading practitioners of meaningful engagement for older people in care homes. Our aim is to transform the residential care sector, so that older people’s mental, social and emotional wellbeing is prioritised alongside their physical care. We do this by providing a wide range of high quality activity sessions in care settings, delivering training and support for social care staff, and advocating for improved quality of life for older people in care.

We have a solid track record of grants from donors such as Comic Relief to the Tudor Trust and Henry Smith Charity. While this is likely to remain the most important voluntary source, we believe there is great potential to grow income from individuals and companies too.
