Topic / Discussion / Action/Follow-Up /I. Welcome / Meeting called to order by the immediate Past President, Barbara Jacobs. Barbara announced the resignation of Jesus Cepero. Dr. Cepero accepted a job outside of the state. Katie Boston-Leary moved to President from her President-Elect position. President-Elect position will be voted on in the December elections.
Katie asked for members to share organizational news and announcements.

Announcements
Educational Program / Minutes were approved.
Currently 182 members, 10 new members joined today. Current members are encouraged to invite nurse leaders to join.
Katie stated the committee is working on a speaker for September. Discussed the June retreat and that Clint Morris was working with the planning committee to organize the retreat. Looking for 5 members to attend the retreat.
The CNO dinner will be rescheduled, possibly in September
Eugenia Powell is transitioning from the coordinator role. Working within the board to get appointees.
Joan Warren announced the monetary gift from MHA. This gift will allow the expansion of the NRP.
The research committee is in transition.
MONL account- $24,000. Recently paid $101,000 to Vizient from the NRP subaccount.
Patty Franklin from UMD School of Nursing discussed the Nurse Leadership Institute. The Institute was launched in 2015 and has graduated 2 cohorts. This is a one year program, tuition and expenses for the fellow is grant covered. Contact information is on the web site.
