Website / Patient UK A medical information service supplying evidence based information on a wide range of medical and health topics to patients and health professionals. The forum pages provide insights into patient experience. / www.patient.info
Website / The Patients Association An association which collates patient experience across the health and social care service and uses that information to campaign for improvements in health and social care. / http://www.patients-association.org.uk/
Website / Healthwatch A national network established in the wake of the health and social care reforms of 2012. The reforms created a Healthwatch in every local authority area across England and Healthwatch England, the national body. Its’ purpose is to ensure the voices of people who use services are listened to and responded to. It has far reaching statutory powers that extend over key players such as NHS England, the Care Quality Commission, Monitor and each local authority in England. In addition, it has ultimate recourse to advise the Secretary of State for Health. Website / The Productive Series (formerly NHS Institute for Innovation and Improvement) The Productive Series supports NHS teams to redesign and streamline the way they manage and work. This helps achieve significant and lasting improvements – predominately in the extra time that they give to patients, as well as improving the quality of care delivered whilst reducing costs.
The Productive Series has adopted efficiency techniques previously used in car manufacturing and safety techniques learned in the aviation industry. By working with NHS teams they have adapted them for the NHS in a practical and innovative way.

Website / The Centre for Health Economics This is a specialist health economics research unit established in 1983.
