Places to list:

  • Tell Kate McBurney at UC Berkeley and Patsy Wakimoto at CHORI who handle UC's Nutrition interns, and anyone else you know at UC Berkeley. (see v-cards above)
  • NCAC Mailing list through Linda
  • Forward to Janet Leader for publication in the BANPAC Email flash.
  • I used to send faxes for job announcements to the following UC Berkeley FAX numbers. I dont know if these are good anymore: 642-0535, 643-5676, 601-7092
  • Create Job announcement, get approved by Rosa and then send out through All-PH staff to get it forwarded to folks who are job searching

On Line Listings and Places to place ads:

  • State WIC job listings http://www.wicworks.ca.gov/careerInfo/LAJobPosting.htm , which isn't available to you I guess.
  • Jobs in Dietetics
  • Nutrition Jobs
  • Bay Areas Dietetic Association
  • (has a fair amount of diet related postings now),
  • Listing of RD job listings:
  • Craig's list (cost about $75) for hard to fill positions, so if you don’t get the action you want, they arent expensive and have lots of dietitian jobs right now. We've used them in the past, dont remember what response we got. They claim they are tons better than Monster and Career Builder
  • SF Chronicle costs a lot but generated response the last time I used them ($600+ for one week includes posting on their on-line listing)
  • Oakland Tribune also costs a lot but I think we got response and this also feeds your ad into SF Chronicle and Yahoo's on-line listings (one week is about $700 for 5 lines, posts in All East Bay Alameda Newspaper Group newspapers
  • (maybe used this for the search for NS Director since Jeff was directing the search) and don't remember getting anything useful. It is expensive and I only see one Bay Area dietitian posting there now.
  • Opportunity Knocks which is more for non profit management types, costs $100. . I don’t remember the response. I am not sure I'd run a dietitian job there.
  • Yahoo’s listings: ($$$) but has tons of dietitian jobs listed now for Sutter, Kaiser and others. I've never listed there.
