RESNET Tax Compliance Software Tool
Accreditation Application and Instructions
The annual fee for accreditation as a tax compliance software tool is $1,750. There is a non-refundable application fee of $500. If the application for accreditation is approved the $500 application fee will be credited to the accreditation fee.

Please mail a check in the amount of $500 made out to “RESNET” for your application fee to Faye Berriman, RESNET 4280 North Cedarpine Lane, Moorpark, CA 93021. *Please indicate on the check that is for tax compliance software tool application fees.

Provide the legal name and full address of the rating software tool developer. This name and address will appear on the Certificate of Software Accreditation and the national registry of accredited tax compliance software tools that will be used by the Internal Revenue Service.

5. Results of Duct Distribution Efficiency (DSE) Tests

Please use the spreadsheet form named “DSEresults_form.xls” to record and report your results from this test. This Excel spreadsheet form may be downloaded from www.resnet.us/tax_credits/DSEresults_form.xls.
Please forward with this application an operating copy of the software program, the test the test runs (input decks) used for each of the software tests, and your results spreadsheets to RESNET along with any explanatory documentation needed to understand and replicate the tests. Please rename the results spreadsheet to replace ‘form’ with a name or acronym that identifies your software.
The above material may be made available by RESNET for review by interested parties.
Any challenge to a software’s accreditation shall be made in writing directly to the RESNET Executive Director. Within 5 working days the RESNET Executive Director shall forward the challenge to the software developer for comment and rebuttal. The challenged software provider must respond to the RESNET Executive Director in writing within 30 days. The RESNET Board of Directors shall review the challenge and response and make a determination within 30 days. If a challenge is made public by the challenger prior to the RESNET Board’s determination, the subject challenge will be automatically determined to be non-substantive.
