Fasting and Prayer Guidelines
May 6-15, 2016
I. Fasting Focus: This year has been designated as the “Year Of Intent”. For this reason, we have intentionally set our face to receive the totality of God’s presence and power. God has given a promise of “Accelerated Favor “ and “Manifested Glory”.We know, however, that our lives must be in proper alignment with the will of God in order for that promise to come to fruition. Most of us are familiar with the “reset” button found on many of our electronic devices. The purpose of “reset” is to restore a device that is no longer working properly back to its original, “factory” settings. Our focus in this Consecration is upon allowing God to “reset” our lives and our church back to His original predetermined “settings”, so that we may fulfill His purpose and become what we were created to be. We should desire to have our “First Love” rekindled in the Lord! As we move from Church to Kingdom, we go beyond the elementary teaching of Christ and move toward the purpose of the Kingdom…love. In order to do so, we must be on “one accord”. It is imperative that we lay aside everything that hinders and all personal agendas. Only this will allow us to experience the power of Pentecost. We know that when do so, we will “reset” back to God’s original plan; bringing our lives back into proper alignment, thus allowing God to Accelerate Favor and Blessings!
For the next ten days, there will be a singular Prayer Focus:
A great outpouring of the Holy Spirit on May 15! In order for this to occur, we must also pray for the complete manifestation of unity and love in our midst. As did the disciples of Jesus, we must “tarry” (looking expectantly) to receive the promise of the Father.
We will fast each day from Midnight until 4:00 pm.
The Absolute Fast – midnight till dinner daily;no food or drinks of any kind are taken in until dinner (between 4 and 7 pm. After dinner, food intact should be limited). Pastor will give further instructions and directions. May God be with you on your journey!
