The Representative Body for the Church in Wales: St. Padarn’s Institute
Research Assistant for Continuing Ministerial Development
OVERVIEW
Do you have experience of research and an interest in Christian mission and ministry and would you like to be part of a small team exploring what is needed to enable youth workers, pioneer ministers, parish clergy and senior leaders to flourish in the Church in Wales today?
St Padarn’s Institute was created on 1 July 2016 by the Church in Wales to deliver a vision of outstanding mission-orientated formation and training for the whole people of God for the Church in Wales.
A Strategist for Continuing Ministerial Development, the Revd Dr Rosie Dymond, has just been appointed to review the Church’s needs in this area. In this she is supported by two part-time posts. One, Programme Administrator, is filled by Patricia Coward, who is focused on maintaining current provision while this review is happening. The other, this post, is focused on supporting Dr Dymond as she takes forward the review work. All three of these posts are temporary – permanent posts will emerge as a result of the strategic review.
The main base for St Padarn’s and for the CMD team is the St Michael’s Conference Centre in Llandaff, Cardiff. The post will also involve some travelling within Wales.
