“Internship with the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization’s (UNESCO) International Oceanographic Carbon Coordination Project (IOCCP) Office” – To fund travel and accommodation expenses for two University undergrads majoring in earth science who will be working in the scientific research arm of UNESCO at the IOCCP office in Paris, France, as part of their internships.

“Math Mentor Initiative“ – To fund the Math Mentor Initiative which currently provides remedial math support based on the results of recent standardized testing to (currently) 25 at risk McKay students in grades 3 and 4. The Initiative provides individual and small group math instruction. While Fitchburg State University faculty oversee the program, Fitchburg State students, (currently 14) trained in math content and teaching records participate in activities created to meet the needs of the McKay children.
