Cyber bullying
Directions: The ways that young people can be bullied are far more varied and invasive today due to the Internet. In that light, this research assignment has been designed to help you, the first generation to grow up on the Internet, learn more about cyber bullying through real case studies. In addition, we will be attending an assembly called “Ryan’s Story,” whereby Ryan Halligan’s father will share with us the heartbreaking story of his son’s experiences with cyber bullying.
You will spend the next two weeks in the library to research and gather information on cyber bullying and your assigned case study. You will find the answers to all of the questions and complete the tasks listed below for your assigned topic. Though many of you will be researching the same topics and at times work together with the librarian, the written work (note cards, thesis statement, body paragraph, Works Cited page, etc.) you will compose is to be completed individually.
Research topics for Cyber Bullying
Directions:
1. Read the questions for the general topic and the specific case study you were assigned, and circle the key words that will help you choose the best place to begin your research.
2. Using the database page (ROGER) that Ms. Ryder shows you, select at least 2 databases that you will use and write the names of those databases on the line following your assigned questions.
