Department of Science and Technology and Science Council of MEST in the wake of the its activities, based in provisions of Law for Scientific-Research Activity and in the action plan of the National Science Program, regarding the development support of the country's scientific research human resources and for the purpose of promotion and internationalization of Kosovar science, announce

COMPETITION

(for small scientific projects 2016)

By which are invited Kosovar institutions of science and Kosovar scientists, which are supported from any scientific research institution, to compete for benenfit of scientific grants in these categories:

·  Small scientific projects (5000 up to 10 000 Euros per project, with duration from 6 up to 12 months).

The implementation of the project can be postponed even after this period, if cannot be implemented for time causes – atmospheric conditions, in this case continues also in the subsequent year.

Terms and procedures:

The competitive projects are preferred (but not necessarily) to belong to the scientific priority areas according the National Science Program, where are included:

·  Natural Resources, Energy and Environment

·  Agricultural Production and Food Safety

·  Medical Research

·  Social and Economic Studies

·  Linguistic, Cultural and Historic Studies

·  Cross-horizontal Research in Information and Communication Technologies

The competition of interested institutions is made under the provision of the Law on Scientific Research Activity and according to relevant instructions for each category which can be downloaded from the MEST’s webpage: www.masht-gov.net , which can be available from 23.02.2016.

·  The deadline for applying for the category: Small scientific projects, will be 13.06.2016 till 01.07.2016.

Submission of the completed documents according to published guidelines on the website and the requirements based on the Law on Scientific Research Activity (LSRA) is made in the archive office in MEST.

The competition should be done electronically.

Selection of the beneficiaries will be made based on legal provisions arising from LSRA and guidelines for competition, compiled by the department of Science and Scientific Council of MEST.

We welcome the application of all scientific research institutions.

Beneficiaries from previous years who have not fulfilled obligations under signed contracts, will not be supported in this competition.

Also bearers and members of the project teams funded by MEST that are still unfinished, are not supported.
