Youth Employment Coordinator (Change100)

Reporting to:Senior Youth Employment Officer (Change100)

Purpose of the job

To enable the effective and efficient delivery of our flagship Change100 programme by supporting the recruitment, assessment and matching of interns to placements across the UK. Working closely with the Senior Youth Employment Officer, this role will be actively involved in the administration and delivery of Change100 throughout the delivery year.

Key responsibilities

  • Support communications with Change100 applicants - fielding queries and supporting candidates throughout the application process
  • Participate in the shortlisting process of applicants for Change100
  • Support the delivery of Change100 assessment centres across the UK by overseeing candidate communications, preparing all materials and acting as ‘front of house’ on the day Act as part of the matching team with responsibility for matching a group of successful applicants with relevant employer placements
  • Support management of the Change100 email inbox and respond to enquiries from applicants and candidates
  • Act as a point of contact for successful candidates throughout the programme offering support to interns with managing disability in the workplace
  • Assist with partner employer communication and data collection as needed
  • Maintain effective and efficient administrative data producing appropriate records and reports as required, including the updating of client details within the secure systems
  • Participate in training and undertake appropriate learning and development, as identified through regular appraisal and reviews with line manager
  • Perform any other duties required for the post and are commensurate with the level of responsibility
  • Support the development of new youth employment programming as and when required

Person specification

Essential requirements

  • To be educated to Undergraduate level (or equivalent) or a demonstrable track record of programme delivery or project administrative support
  • Demonstrable administrative experience and event facilitation
  • Demonstrable experience of building and maintaining relationships with a range of stakeholders
  • Demonstrable experience of working within a safeguarding framework and with an understanding of equal rights and equal opportunities
  • Demonstrable experience of effective programme delivery
  • Prior experience of monitoring KPIs and tracking work-flow
  • To have a genuine commitment to the values and ethos of Leonard Cheshire Disability
  • To have experience of working with young vulnerable or disabled people (experience of working in the youth employment or education sector would be particularly advantageous)
  • The ability to travel and occasional work out of hours or at weekends
