CHAROLAIS TOP €10,000 IN TULLAMORE
Charolais bulls sold to a top price of €10,200 and achieved an average price of €2,807
at the Show and Sale in Tullamore on Saturday last (Nov. 19th) Top price of the day went
to the show champion Roundhill Victor, bred by Doreen & Timothy Corridan,
Castlequarter House, Fedamore, Co. Limerick.
Winner of the Senior Male Regional Calf Championship at Cappamore Show,
Roundhill Victor is by “Hermes” and out of an “Invincible” daughter of “Marlene”.
He had BLUP figures of 140 Muscle, and 114 Skeletal and was purchased by a young
breeder, Denis Coughlan, Esker, Ballindine, Co. Mayo.
Reserve Male Championship went to Aidan Farrell, Boyanna, Moate, Co. Weatmeath
for Williamstown Veinard.
By a son of “Meillard” and out of a dam by “Erudit” he sold for €4,600 to
Thomas Carmody, Ballyogan More, Tubber, Co. Clare.
Championship and top price of €4,800 in the female section went to John O’Grady,
Creggane, Glenamaddy, Co. Galway for Glenree Valrie.
Born Feb. 2004 she is by “Roundhill Rocky” and out of a dam by “Altis Martell”.
She was purchased by Fiona Erskine, Co. Armagh, N.I.
Reserve Female Championship went to Michael Nerney, Elphin, Co. Roscommon
for Windmill Vernique. Born Feb. 2004, by “Doonally New” and out of a dam
by “Dovea Gin Tonic” she sold for €3,900 to Terry Boland, Backwood, Cloneygowan,
Tullamore, Co. Offaly
