PreK
Goodbye October! Today we will finish our study of pumpkins and also have a fun day of Reformation activities. This week's letter will be I and we will start the number 6. Our Bible story for the week will first be the reformation story and then praising God. We also will finish our triangle shape. Just a quick reminder as the days start getting colder, first is that we will be going outside any time that the wind chill is not too high and it is not wet, so please make sure your child has an appropriate jacket for cooler days. Second is to
remember to change out any spare clothes for weather appropriate
choices. Show and Tell this week will be something you are thankful
for. Students for show and tell are Stella, Lizzie, Carver, and Ben.
K-3
We will celebrate Reformation all week with studies about Martin Luther and his
emphasis on God's grace through Jesus. Third grade will learn to write a three paragraph essay. Spelling List 9 will be our unit for this week. Kindergarten will have letter, F, and begin letter, R, and #12. In Social Studies we will continue our new world discovery and the Pilgrims. In science, we began our force unit last week, so we have many fun experiments ahead. MEMORY: All - He ascended into Heaven and sits at the right hand of God, the Father Almighty. Second & Third - From thence He will come to judge the living and the dead.
Classroom 3-8
Our Religion lessons this week will include Reformation and angels. Students will be completing lessons 35-39 in Math, with topics including: naming mixed numbers and money, classifying triangles, perfect squares and square roots, and simplifying expressions using the greatest common factor. We will be completing our language arts' project as we begin
writing a creative writing assignment based on the book that students finished last Friday. 3rd-5th Science will begin Chapter 13 -there will be a vocab test on Thursday. 6th-8th Science will start chapter 4 this week. History lessons will focus on early English settlements and New England Colonies. Social Studies lessons will touch on the transcontinental railroad and the invention of cars.
