REMEDIAL ORDER

ON THIS DATE appeared ______, the Child in the above-styled and numbered cause, having being found to have engaged in Truant Conduct, and this Court enters the following ORDERS:

r attend school without unexcused absences;

r attend a preparatory class for the high school equivalency examination due to the Court’s determination that the Child is unlikely to do well in a formal classroom environment due to the Child’s age;

r take the high school equivalency examination administered under Section 7.111, Education Code due to the Court’s finding that it is in the best interest of the child (applicable only if the Child is at least 16 years of age);

r attend the following non-profit special program that the Court has determined to be in the best interest of the child:

r alcohol program; r training in parenting, including parental responsibility;

r drug abuse program; r training in manners;

r rehabilitation program; r training in violence avoidance;

r counseling, including self-improvement counseling; r sensitivity training;

r training in self-esteem and leadership; r training in advocacy and mentoring;

r work and job skills training; r other: ______;

r complete ____ hours (not more than 50 total hours, not more than 16 hours per week) of community service on a project acceptable to the Court, to wit: ______;

r participate in a tutorial program provided by the school the child attends covering the academic subjects in which the child is enrolled for ______hours.

The Court has ordered the Department of Public Safety (DPS) in a separate order to:

r suspend the driver’s license or permit of the Child until ______(insert date not to exceed 180 days or until the end of the school year, whichever is later).

r deny the issuance of a driver’s license or permit to the Child until ______(insert date not to exceed 180 days or until the end of the school year, whichever is later).

Having allowed an opportunity to be heard and considered the financial ability to pay $50.00, the Court hereby:
