Religion 7 Project: The Apostles
Activity – select one of Jesus Apostles to study. Research that person using at least 3 different sources. Write a 1 page paper explaining who your Apostle was, be sure to include: what his occupation was before being called, where was his home, how/where/when was he called, any books written by him, travels, and what happened to him in the end. When finished with your paper choose one of the following projects to do:
1) Make a poster showing facts, pictures, maps of travels, etc…
2) Create a game about your Apostles life, that would teach someone about your Apostle
3) Make a mural listing facts, symbols, code of arms, travels, etc…
4) Make a mobile that includes code of arms, symbols, pictures, etc…
5) Any creative idea you have okayed by Mr. Jaeger
Due Date: Wednesday 5/30 – we will present on 6/1 and 6/4 in class
Work time in Computer Lab or classroom: 5/4, 5/7, 5/11, 5/14, 5/18, 5/21, 5/25, 5/28
Assignment Requirements:
1) Your paper must be a minimum of 150 words in length, typed, include a title (your Apostles name) and site the sources you used to research your person.
2) The content of your paper should include the following information about your Apostle: what his occupation was before being called, where was his home, how/where/when was he called, any books written by him, travels, and what happened to him in the end.
3) Once your article is finished discuss your idea for your Apostle project with Mr. Jaeger for approval.
Timeline for project completion:
4/18 – Apostles assigned
4/20 – Initial research done (find 5 facts about your Apostle)
5/11 – Finish papers and hand in – have project idea approved
5/30 – Projects due
