Abstract
This project studies the concepts of existing network monitoring and analyzing tools. We integrate such concepts to make the tool that can do both automatically monitoring and analyzing network. Since network system maintenance takes a lot of time, our tool is introduced to reduce the maintenance time. This tool consists of 2 parts: On server side, we build the web application using PHP and MySQL5 DBMS. It can request for specific value from the network devices every certain period of time. The requested value is kept in database as raw data. These raw data is used for monitoring and analyzing the network. Also the raw data can be used for plotting graphs. On client side, we write the Java application. The application needs to connect with the server all the time. It launches the pop-up window with alert message, network status, and problem to administrators when the problem occurs so that the administrators can quickly solve the problem.
