This is by far the most beautiful 1/2 Ironman course in the Mid-Atlantic Region and it's located just over an hour from Philadelphia and New Jersey. The race offers both a short and long distance course.

Whether you are looking for the perfect "A" race or ideal training course for Lake Placid ~Make it the Bear!

Course Preview and Clinic ~ October 21, 2007

See what everyone is talking about. For that matter get out on the course with us and experience it for yourself. We invite you to come with us on Sunday, October 21, 2007 to preview the Black Bear short and long distance courses. We will meet at Beltzville State Park at 9:00 am. We will review the swim course (no swimming), then ride the bike courses, and conclude with a run along the beautiful course. The clinic is totally free. Join us afterwards for a delicious lunch at Penn's Peak (lunch is not included but we might just buy you all a beer!).

The NJ State Triathlon will be held on July 27, 2008 this year. This year the race will be even bigger and better ~ offering a great course, great swag and of course a great Beer Garden and After Race Party! Be sure to register early as this race has sold out each year month's in advance to more than 2,000 athletes.

Sprint and Olympic Distances Offered ~ August 17, 2008

A new sprint distance has been added to this (Olympic distance) race. It will offer a great scenic course just like the Olympic Distance. Visit the website for more details.
