REGULAR SESSION, BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY, JULY 13, 2009

The Board of Public Works and Safety of Plymouth, Indiana, met in Regular Session on July 13, 2009, immediately following the Sanitary Board of Trustees meeting in the Council Chambers of the City Building, 124 N. Michigan St., Plymouth, IN. The meeting was called to order at 6:38 p.m.

Mayor Senter presided for Board Members Gardner and Smith. City Attorney Chipman, City Engineer Gaul and Secretary Hutchings were also present.

Members Gardner and Smith moved and seconded to approve the minutes of the last regular meeting on June 22, 2009, and to dispense with reading them since they have been reviewed and found to be correct. The motion carried.

Fire Chief Metsker reported that a theft of two radios occurred between Friday evening and Saturday morning.

Street Superintendent Marquardt said that he received the pricing on the state-wide salt bid through IACT. The price through IACT is $54.67/ton. He said that last year the city only paid $59.31 when IACT was unable to provide a state-wide bid.

Board Members Smith and Gardner moved and seconded to allow the salaried payroll for June 16-30, 2009 and the claims for July 13, 2009, as entered in Claim Register #2009. The motion carried.

There being no further business to discuss, Board Members Gardner and Smith moved and seconded to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried. The meeting was declared adjourned at 6:16 p.m.
