MEETING CONVENED: 8:50 p.m. (After budget public hearing)
I. MINUTES of March meeting were accepted as read.
II. TREASURER’S REPORT for March was accepted.
III. CORRESPONDENCE.
- PJ Fire Dept.; participation in July 4th parade
- Fire Protection Contract for fiscal year June 1, 2009 to May 31, 2010.
- Letter from Mather Hospital re: Families Walk for Hope, May 2nd .
Letters requesting use of the Community Center:
- BethHayde sponsoring Hershberg for anniversary party; Sunday, July 26
- Sal Gerbino sponsoring Dooley for communion party, Saturday, May 2
- MarleneCapobianco sponsoring Marcus, wedding reception, Saturday, May 9
IV. Report of the Mayor:
Mayor Lucki thanked the Trustees for their work on the budget.
V. LAW:No Report.
VI. COMMISSIONER’S REPORTS:
1. Beach: Commissioner Knapp reported the electric has been fixed; two new 110 lines were installed. Cabanas are available and they will start going up the first week in June. We received our operating permit from Suffolk County,
2. Buildings: CommissionerGeelan reportedan inspection of the gas pressure regulator at the Community Center was done by National Grid. This test is done every 20 years.
3. Constabulary: Commissioner Sandak reported 31 calls for service in March and 66 summonses were issued. He then reviewed the written report.
4. Parks: Commissioner Cornell-May reported she is working on getting the correct chips for the play area at the park.
5. Roads: No Report.
6. Youth Program:Commissioner Schachner reported the program applications will be mailed out by next week. The program start date has been changed to July 1 to correspond with the official opening of the Belle Terre Beach. The Suffolk County permit application is ready to be mailed.
7.Cable/Technology: Commissioner Weiss reported he needs to get an email host to handle the new email program for sending out Village and BTCA notifications. The cost will be about $15 per month. The new program will be able to handle email or mail labels for Village and BTCA notices.
8. Harbor Management: Commissioner Knapp submitted written minutes of the last Harbor Management meeting. They are available for review at the Village Office.
9. Belle Terre Community Association:Over 80 people attended the history lecture last month and the Easter Egg Hunt was also well attended. A boating safety course is being held this Saturday the BTCA will have a hospitality table for the Mather Walk on May 2. They are planning a concert at the Community Center in June a yard sale on May 16. Items can be donated for sale at the BTCA table, or individuals can rent their own space at $10 for 10 feet.

VII. MOTIONS:
1. MOTION to approve Abstract of Audited Voucher # 11 for payment.

2. MOTION togive the Mayor authority to sign the contract with the Port Jefferson Fire District upon approval of the Village Attorney

3. MOTION to approve the appointment of the Inspectors of Election as follows: ElaineFreda, NancyDarling, AnitaDeNardo. Alternate Inspector,YvonneDwyer. Further, that a stipend of $75 be paid to those persons who serve on Election Day.
