Regular Board Minutes
July 12, 2016
Meeting was called to order by President Evan Ruach on Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at 6:34pm in room 111, Superintendent’s office at Riverview Grade School, 1421 Spring Bay Road, East Peoria, IL.
Pledge of Allegiance
Roll Call Taken: Scott Dean, Stephanie Gale, Evan Ruach, Amy Lynn Robinson.
Absent: Mitch Atherton, Angi Schalk, and Tracey Koenig.
Others Present: Superintendent Michelle Lee, Dianne Maxheimer
Motioned by Amy Lynn Robinson, 2nd by Stephanie Gale to approve the agenda as presented.

Superintendent’s Report/Items for Discussion
A. FOIA Requests – Ms. Lee stated that there had not been any FOIA requests in the past month.
B. Board Member Code of Conduct – Ms. Lee read aloud #7 – “I will prepare for, attend and actively participate in school board meetings.”
C. Review Board Goals – Ms. Lee asked the School Board Members if they had anything that they wanted to discuss regarding the board goals.
D. Triple I Conference – Ms. Lee informed the School Board Members that she has not heard what hotel we have been assigned for the School Board Convention in November.
E. State Track Meet – Ms. Lee stated that we had received a check for a little over $15,000 and she will be giving this to the Boosters.
F. School Clean-Up Day – Ms. Lee stated that we need to schedule a clean-up day before school starts back.
G. 2015-2016 School Audit –Ms. Lee informed the School Board that the auditor was here and preliminary report shows that we are still in “Recognition” status which is the highest level you can receive.
H. 2016-2017 School Registration – Ms. Lee told the School Board that registration for this coming school year will be on Tuesday, July 19th from 11-7.
I. ALICE Training – Ms. Lee informed the School Board that she will be attending a 2 day workshop to become a trainer for “ALICE” which is the intruder drills that school must complete each year.
J. 2016-2017 Parent/Student Handbook – Ms. Lee handed out a copy of the handbook to all board members and went over the changes in the handbook.
