Ontario License-Free Family Fishing - No Ministry fishing license is required – fishing week July 5th-13th, 2013

Anglers without a license must abide by the limits set for the Conservation License

Please note that it is now the law in Canada that all operators of boats must have a valid 'Pleasure Craft Operator Card'.

1.All federal and provincial fisheries and boating regulations must be obeyed at all times.

2.Tickets $20.00 per angler (16 years & older), Cash Prizes for 1st, 2nd & 3rd place for Walleye, Bass & Pike One prize per fish type category per angler. Cash Prize for hidden weight for Walleye, Bass & Pike, one prize per contestant for all non placing anglers. (All tickets sales will be put towards the cash prize awards).

3.Anglers 15 years and under are free, Prizes for largest Walleye, Bass & Pike. One prize per contestant.

4.Maximum fish limit to be weighed in per category as per Conservation License:

Walleye - 2 – not more than 1 greater than 63 cm (24.8 in.)

Bass – 2 – no size restriction

Pike – 2 – no size restriction

5.Contestants only allowed in boats.

6.No contestant may fish outside the waters of Wellers Bay. You may not proceed past the last bend in the channel connecting to Lake Ontario.

7.Fishing will commence at 7:30 a.m. Shotgun Start! No contestant may advance their boat more than 200ft from Barcovan Campground docks before starting time of 7:30 a.m.

8.Decision of official will be final.

9.Weigh-ins all day of tournament 7:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Validated tickets must accompany fish to be eligible. No fish will be weighed in after 3:30 p.m.

10.Contestants must come ashore at Barcovan Campgrounds only.

11.In case of a tie, it will be determined by first fish weighed in.

All participants should be courteous of other boaters and should be courteous of fishermen in speed control and etiquette. Good Luck to everyone, here’s to a great day of fishing!

Each entrant upon registration in this tournament agrees to hold the SPONSORS, OFFICIALS, ORGANIZERS AND OWNERS OF THE SITE LOCATION, THEIR EMPLOYEES OR AGENTS, all competitors and non-competitors harmless, from all liabilities of any kind or nature for any injuries or damages suffered by the entrant, no matter how the injury or damage is caused. This waiver will be for the duration of the tournament, prior to the tournament, and after the tournament.
