Registration fees

REGISTRATION FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.

On or before March 31, 2011, $300 (per applicant) of the registration fee is due along with the application. The remaining balance is due by October 5, 2011.

A late fee of $150 will be charged for any returning Canton Academy Family who registers after March 31, 2011 and registration fee is due in full. All returning Canton Academy families’ account with business office must be current in order to register for the new school year.

A reserved space will be held for all presently enrolled students until February 25, 2011. At that time enrollment will be open to all other applicants.

Parents are strongly encouraged to enroll by the date listed as waiting lists exist in some grades.

Students who wish to participate in summer activities such as sports practice, band, etc. must be registered by June 1, 2011.

 Students who wish to try-out for cheerleading and dance must be registered for the upcoming year before tryouts. (Cheerleader tryouts March 10, 2011)

Tuition Payment Options

This year Canton Academy will be in partnership with Smart Tuition to process payments made for the school year. The following payment options are available.

A / Full payment of tuition due by June 5 2011 with a 2.5 % discount
B / 12 payments on the 5th or 15th of the month due June 5/15th through May 5/15th. All accounts must be paid in full before final exams.
C / 10 payments on the 5th or 15th of the month due August 5/15th 2011 through May 5/15th. All accounts must be paid in full before final exams.
D / 4 equal payments due June 5th, October 5th, January 5th and May 5th.
E / 2 equal payments due June 5th and January 5th.

Discounts

Canton Academy offers a reduction of tuition to parents with more than one child attending.

• 5% reduction for the second child
• 10% reduction for the third child, fourth child or for any subsequent children in the family
• The oldest child is considered the first child

Capital Maintenance Fee(CMF) (For new families)

A one-time $750 Capital Maintenance Fee is required for every family admitted to CA in grades K3-12.

All families are required to begin making payments to the CMF at the start of 2011-2012 contract.

In the 2011-2012 school year, if the oldest child is entering:

K3 / $ 187.50 will be due each year until the end of the 1st grade year. Can be paid in full or financed
K4 / $ 250.00 will be due each year until the end of the 1st grade year. Can be paid in full or financed
K5 / $ 375.00 will be due each year until the end of the 1st grade year. Can be paid in full or financed
1-12 / $ 750.00 will be due in full by the end of current school year. Can be paid in full or financed over twelve months

Stock Fee

A one-time stock fee of $100 to Canton Academy, Inc. is required for every family admitted to CA in grades 1-12.

A $50.00 transfer fee will apply for stock transferred to a new party/individual.

Early Withdrawal/ Refund Policy

If a child(ren) is withdrawn after the tuition contract is signed, the parent/guardian will be responsible

for the following:

• $500 early withdrawal fee
• Remainder of tuition, registrationCapital Maintenance Fee, or other fees due

Transcripts, grades, etc will not be released until all above criteria have been met.

All family contracts are “locked in” the day the contracts are signed. Withdrawals made after that date do not release the terms of this contractual agreement for any fees due and tuition paid.

No refund of tuition or any other fees paid will be made for the absence, withdrawal, suspension or dismissal of a student from Canton Academy before the end of the school year.

Refunds will be issued on May 20, 2012.
