Registering for Day of Caring Projects
- Follow the link sent in the email
- View all Day of Caring projects in a Grid View or toggle to List View (right side of screen)
- When viewing the projects you can get a quick snapshot by hovering over the grey square button (next to each listing).
- The titles of the projects also give a brief description; if it is an Indoor or Outdoor project and the Time of the project i.e. AM, PM or All Day. This will help you search for opportunities according to your availability/interests.
- There is and options to Sort projects by Agency and most available spots or Search and specific agency
- In the upper right corner of each opportunity is the number of openvolunteer spots available with the opportunity
- To see a full description of the opportunity click on View Details. There you will find:
- The dates and time
- Full description
- Tools needed
- Plans for inclement weather
- If drinks or food is provided
- Agency contact information and address of the project (map)
- To register for a project click on Respond as a Team (Left of the Respond button).
This is very important that you respond as a team otherwise it will only allow you to sign you up as an individual.
- If you are not logged in,the system will then take you back to create an account or Login (if you already have an account)
- To create an account go to and click on Sign up (orange button at top)
- Add your name
- Company
- Zip Code
- Create a password
- Or you can sign up quickly using your Facebook account.
- Once you are signed to your account you will be able to see the project information and complete your team registration.
- When signing up for a project you will be able to review the information and indicate whether you will be attending this volunteer project personally or if you are organizing it on behalf of others.
- List your company name under Team Name and you can give it an additional name, i.e. United Way Finance Department or maybe a building name. This is helpful if you have multiple teams within your company. Make sure your company name is listed as part of your team name
- Will you be participating as part of the team?
- Yes, I will be attending- If you are planning on participating and you will be included as the "Team Leader".
- No, I am just managing the team-If you are organizing and not planning to participate, please indicate one of your team members as the "Team Leader" by selecting the checkbox next to their name. Team Leaders will receive emails confirming the team registration, Event details and special instructions, and a reminder for the event
- Number of team members- this is where you list the number of volunteers you will be providing.
- Click on Submit Team
- Once you are registered for the volunteer project you will receive and email like the example below. You are able to click on the link in the email to add team members information and update your team at anytime:

- You can also access your teams information by clicking on View Profile and clicking on My Teams
- If there are additional spots still available for this project the Add Team Member button will appear at the top right. You can only add more people to your team if this icon is available.
