Would you like to suggest an idea for a World Obesity Stock conference?

The Stock Conferences are a series of 2-day meetings initiated by World Obesity (formally IASO) in 2002 to commemorate the lifetime research contribution of Dr. Mike Stock. The aim of the meeting is to bring together a small group of specialists, including a number of junior researchers, to discuss a focused obesity-related topic.

We need some information from you:

·  A summary of the event – maximum 300 words – stating why you feel the area should be addressed

·  The learning objectives for the event

·  A breakdown of proposed session titles and topics that should be covered

·  Proposal of another scientific chair for the conference.

·  Proposed speakers (suggestions only, please do not invite anyone at this stage) – we suggest a maximum of 8 speakers

·  A list of companies that you think would be suitable sponsors for this event (let us know if you have any personal contacts within these companies)

·  Our Stock conferences take place in the Autumn/Winter season of the year. Please suggest the best month for your suggested Stock Conference.

·  Proposed country/city for the conference.

World Obesity will:

·  Take all financial responsibility for any accepted conference proposals and have final decision on all aspects of the event

·  Manage the administration of the conference

·  Have final decision on location of the event

·  Have final decision on any sponsors and exhibitors

We expect you to play an active role and assist in the following areas:

·  Planning the scientific content and chairing the conference

·  Working with us to identify and approach potential sponsors and exhibitors

·  Publicising the event to potential delegates

·  Work with the speakers to produce a summary of the event to be published in Obesity Reviews
