Regional New Partnerships Support Volunteer

Where, when and how often?
This role will be based in our office in Bowthorpe Hall near Norwich, depending on space and your location. It could also involve being based at home some days. We’re looking for someone who can give 1 day a week for an initial two month period.
How does the role make a difference?
This role will specifically support the Community Fundraising Team to deliver on their ambitious income targets through growing and securing new corporate partners.
Regional fundraising is at the very centre of how we raise vital funds at a local level. The money we raise funds the delivery of universal services that include our website and National Dementia Helpline, as well as the services we provide locally. It also helps to fund research into care for today and a cure for tomorrow, and our campaigning work.
What will I be doing?
This role will provide support the Community Fundraiser in sourcing and securing new Corporate Fundraising Partnerships throughout Norfolk and Suffolk. This role is crucial to the success of the Regional Community Fundraising Team.
This is a flexible role and duties will vary depending on need, skills and interests. Tasks could include –
·  Assisting with general office tasks both on and off the computer
·  Researching new companies and their approach to supporting charities
·  Speaking to companies about their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
·  Recording information about companies and their CSR
·  Researching fundraising activities
·  Promoting the work of Alzheimer’s Society in the community
Is this role for me?
This is a brilliant opportunity if you are interested in gaining an insight into and experience of Corporate Fundraising, and to further develop your skills with a specific focus on securing new business within this sector.
If you have excellent written and telephone skills and are confident with Word and Excel - we would love to hear from you.
The role may be ideal for you if you:
•  Have good IT Skills (comfortable with MS Office, Google and LinkedIn)
•  Have good verbal communication and listening skills, and are confident on the phone
•  Have good organisational skills
•  Have a good ability to build rapport quickly in new relationships
•  Have creative problem solving skills
What do I have to do before I can start?
Before you start you will need to complete a registration form and provide two references.
We will then meet with selected applicants to discuss the role further.
How will I be supported during my volunteering?
You will receive training to start your role and will have a dedicated role manager to support you. We will reimburse reasonable travel expenses.
