Regional Learning & Development Learning Design Officer
East Midlands Collaborative HR Services – Learning and Development is an exciting new regional service providing learning and development solutions to 4 Police Services in the region. As a learning and development professional you will have experience, ability and a passion for working in a complex and challenging environment, providing pragmatic solutions and delivering tangible outcomes.
Based: Leicestershire Police
Hours: 37 hours per week
Salary: Scale6 (£23,799 - £25,449) per annum
The Role: To undertake business needs analysis, with an emphasis on providing learning and development solutions and potential interventions to identified problems. To design, write and produce learning materials for local and regional use, utilising the most efficient and appropriate methods for delivery.
Essential Criteria:
1. Nationally recognised learning & development qualification e.g. NVQ 3/4
2. GCSE or equivalent level of experience in the use of English Language.
3. To be qualified to a national standard e.g. NVQ Level 3/4 in one or more of the following specialisms:
- Designing, writing and production of L&D materials
- Designing, writing and production of L&D materials for ICT classroom based training
- Research and analysis techniques for L&D environmental scanning purposes
4. Demonstrate significant experience of analysing performance needs and designing solutions within a learning development environment.
5. Demonstrate experience of designing L&D programmes.
6. Demonstrate ability to analyse and manage data, prepare and present high quality complex reports.
7. Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively and to a variety of audiences.
8. Demonstrate the ability to work to own initiative and manage projects in an effective manner.
9. Demonstrate an understanding of diversity issues.
10. Demonstrate ability to constructively challenge existing practices.
11. Demonstrate experience in one or more of the following:
- Experience of implementing environmental scanning policy and practice.
- Experience of designing ICT classroom based training.
12. Hold a full driving licence and have use of own vehicle for work purposes (reasonable adjustments considered under the Equality Act 2010).
