REGATTA ‘71 UPDATE

Work continues with the various sub-committees. A meeting was held on March 14 to discuss the progress to-date of those committees and to develop brief job requirements of the various volunteer positions that are needed to staff the teams.

We have selected two logos: one for the web, clothing, publicity and other documents and a second for clothing and specific portions of the web and publicity. (Rich McMahon and Sandy Boudreau works respectively)

A publicity campaign plan has been develop to assure that the Cape Cod community and specifically the Town of Barnstable is aware of this major sporting event. (Sarah Mannal)

The committee has elected to bring Beetle Cats back into the Regatta. (Mark Conroy)

Five sponsors have already been identified and aboard to help support Regatta. (Greg Deegan)

The new HYC Regatta web page is fully functional and integrated with the HYC Club’s main web page It can be accessed in the Member’s site by clicking on Yachting & Waterfront section, then HYCRegatta or in the Non-Member’s site by clicking on Yachting section, then HYCRegatta.Once on the new Regatta site, a list of the various volunteer Activities and their Team Leaders can be seen by going to the Regatta Planning menu item on the left side and clicking on the Team Leaders tab.
