Post Title:Human Resources Advisor

Responsible to:Assistant HR Manager

Accountable to:Group HR Operations Manager

Location: Head Office, St David’s Park, Flintshire

Scope:The Human Resources department provides advice, guidance and a full administrative service on personnel issues for circa. 2,200 staff, comprising of15divisions and Group Head Office located throughout England and Wales. The role will work closely with a HR Administrator as a main point of contact for designated divisions.

JOB PURPOSE

A HR generalist working as part of a centralised team to provide seamless support to the business as well as supporting the HR management team in the development/review of HR related policies & procedures. The role will involvelimited UK wide travel.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Assist and advise onperformance management, disciplinary and grievance issues up to Director Level, including providing coaching to Line Managers as required and preparing correspondence. Where needed attend in person.
  1. Assist in monitoring sickness absence and follow up actions as required, e.g. arranging meetings with Occupational Health, co-ordinating with Income Protection providers and communication with employees as required.
  1. Flexible working/Maternity/Paternity – ensure all requests are dealt with in a timely manner and assist line managers in communication to employees as required.

  2. Provide advice and assistance to Line Managers on recruitment,
  3. Assist with recruitment advertising, processing of applicants on the Applicant Tracking System and offers of employment to successful candidates.
  4. Assist with sales recruitment days
  1. Ensure that all new starters, leavers and transfers procedures are carried out in a timely manner including transfer of new starters from on-boarding to the HR/Payroll system (i-trent) and ensure that accurate information is ready for monthly/lunar payrolls.
  2. Ensure prompt and accurate information is sent to third party benefit providers/administrators and respond to queries raised.

  1. Carry out regular visits to designated divisions to assist with general HR coaching/training and provide a forum for discussion.
  1. Assist HR Management with new legislation/policy research and development of people related policies.
  2. Regular reviews of HR policies and procedures manual and make recommendations for review/improvements.
  1. Work with Learning & Development colleagues to encourage continued learning of employees/identification of talent/succession planning.
  1. Assist HR Management with production of HR reports and responses to various senior management requests for HR information.
  1. Ensure familiarity with Redrow Group’s Health, Safety and Environmental policies and comply with employee responsibilities.
  1. At all times comply with company policies, procedures and instructions.
  1. Continue to seek improvement to the HR service provided and efficiency by implementing new ideas and methods and continue to seek ways of both improving contribution to the organisation’s goals and enhancing the reputation of the company.

Internal Colleagues in HR, line managers, other key personnel within Divisions;and all employees in the company.

External: Relevant the third parties and organisations as appropriate for benchmarking and research, professional bodies
