Recruitment & List Manager

Unique opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced sports recruitment and list management professional to join one of Australia’s pre-eminent sporting organisations and brands. The successful applicant will be responsible in leading the Club’s drive in the areas of talent identification, recruitment and retention for our NRL squad and representative teams.

Your core focus will be to develop and oversee the implementation of the Club’s talent identification, recruitment, retention and list management systems. You will also oversee policies and program from the Club’s NRL roster through to its Junior Representative teams and Pathway and Academy programs.

In addition to the above, other key responsibilities include:

  • Managing and reporting on all NRL governance requirements
  • Coordinating and managing the Club’s relationships and its negotiation process with Player Agents
  • Managing the administration and co-ordination of the Club’s player contract and negotiation systems, policies and procedures for all players
  • Actively participating in the short, medium and longer term strategic list management planning process
  • Providing direct support to the Club’s Pathways Coach (es) and Junior Programs Manager
  • Actively involved in building and maintaining strong relationships with all local junior league teams and the local junior league association
  • Support the Club’s welfare and retention programs for all players and staff
  • Prepare monthly departmental reports for the CEO and the Board.

As a key member of the Club’s Football Department you will report directly to the General Manager of Football and work closely with the rest of our senior football management team.

To be considered for this role you will need to be a highly self-motivated team player who brings with them:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within a sporting organisation
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders and demonstrated ability to develop relationships and build rapport
  • Ability to communicate efficiently, effectively and professionally with key stakeholders at all levels
  • A thorough and methodical approach to work that promotes best practice
  • A demonstrated understanding of NRL systems, processes and governance
