RECORDS TECHNICIANPOLICE DEPARTMENT
Performs routine clerical work to assist in maintaining accurate and complete Police Department records; performs related work as required. Must be able to perform a full range of duties within a framework established procedures, with only occasional instruction or assistance. UTILITY WORKER IIWWTP DIVISION
Operates and maintains wells, lift stations, and sewage treatment plant and related equipment to help ensure the provision of quality water and sewer service to citizens of the City of Alvin. Performs routine and emergency mechanical and electrical repair work, heavy machinery operation and other general maintenance work to accomplish daily assignments. The incumbent must be able to perform duties according to detailed instructions with adherence to prescribed standards and procedures. Performs related work as required. HS diploma or GED. Must possess a Grade “C” Groundwater Operator License and Class C Wastewater Treatment Operator License or Collection System Operator’s License. Must possess a valid Texas driver’s license.

Obtain water meter readings within established time frames; possess good knowledge of city streets, capable of walking considerable distances daily. Ability to communicate with the public. Operates light and heavy equipment and various hand tools in the maintenance and construction of water distribution and wastewater collection systems. Must be able to operate a backhoe. CODE ENFORCEMENT OFFICERCODE COMPLIANCE DIVISION
Performs inspections, research, enforcement and follow up duties on various code and ordinance violations related to the maintenance of public health and safety. Issues violation and correction orders and permits and licenses as appropriate. Must be able to perform a full range of complex tasks within a framework of established procedures with only occasional instruction or assistance. Must be licensed as a Code Enforcement Officer with the State of Texas. Must possess a valid state driver’s license.

CONSTRUCTION INSPECTORENGINEERING
Monitors, inspects and provides project management services phases of City construction projects, ensuring compliance with all applicable codes, ordinances, standards of quality, standards of safety and contract specifications. Surveys construction sites as required; responds to public inquiries and complaints regarding construction and other field activities. Assists in supervising daily duties of assigned technical personnel. Performs related work as required. Must possess a valid state driver’s license. Requires experience in construction engineering or inspection or related field supplemented by a minimum of ten years of progressively responsible construction management or inspection experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
SALARY RANGE: $37,149 - $44,396
