Reamers in preferred DIHART® range
ISO H7 fits now available ex stock
With the new preferred DIHART® range, which is now available ex stock, the KOMET GROUP is again upping the tempo for reaming. The DIHART Reamax® and DIHART Reamax® TS modular reaming systems and the adjustable DIHART Monomax® offer great diversity and can be used for ISO H7 fits.
The new preferred DIHART range of reamers offers users improved delivery times, since these ready-ground reaming tools are available immediately. Incidentally but certainly not insignificantly, the KOMET GROUP is changing the tone as well as the rhythm here, since the price is more pleasing to customers. As preferred ranges are available ex stock and are thus manufactured in larger job lots, users benefit from the advantages of more cost-efficient production. Initially designed for ISO H7 fits and diameters of between 6 and 50 mm, the tools cover the most common tolerance fields in a broad area of application. The new preferred ranges are suitable for all steels up to 900 Nm/mm2, cast iron, spheroidal graphite cast iron, vermicular cast iron, and light alloy materials.
DIHART Reamax®
The high-speed DIHART Reamax®reaming system, which has already been established for several years, sets the basic tone for flexibility in reaming rhythms. Based on the functional principle of the classic DIHART®rapid set head™, the Reamax insertable cutting edges are easy to change. They are mounted onto the tool holder with a parallel shank via a high-precision short taper and flat bearing face using a tie rod. This ensures that the torques generated during reaming are reliably transferred and that the concentricity required for precision machining is maintained. This guarantees the accurate reproducibility of diameters and enables immediate further processing with a new insertable carbide cutting edge. The preferred ranges comprise DIHART Reamax® reaming systems in diameters ranging from 15 to 30 mm with DST as the cutting material and DBG-N as the coating.
DIHART Reamax® TS
The DIHART Reamax® TS tooling system is even more modular in nature, and enables multi-blade reaming with the highest amount of flexibility possible. A uniform holder system with a standard attachment point for all DIHART® reaming heads enables an extremely high level of system modularity. The clearly structured reaming head range covers all common diameters and requirements. One particular advantage is the µ-fine adjustability of the range. The ex stock preferred range covers diameters of between 18 and 50 mm with the coating variants DBC, DBF, DBG-N, and TiN. The cutting material is DST.
DIHART Monomax®
The one-piece DIHART Monomax®reamers also pack a punch. These monoblock tools are suitable for machining practically all materials, including unalloyed and low/high-alloyed steels and all common cast materials. They form part of the standard product range of the KOMET GROUP, offering an enormous variety of type and variant. They are available in the preferred range in short and long designs. The diameters range from 6 to 20 mm in each case. DIHART Monomax® reamers are made from the cutting material DST and have DBG-N and TiN coatings.
With its brands KOMET®, DIHART® and JEL®, the KOMET GROUP is a leading global manufacturer of precision tools for bore machining, reaming, and threading. The group has been at the forefront of innovation in the sector for over 90 years - a tradition that began with the early indexable insert borers and continues today with their mechatronic tool systems. The company currently employs around 1,400 staff in its 20 subsidiaries and is represented in around 50 countries.
