Dear Client,

RE: Your new Posture and Mobility Services, formerly known as wheelchair services

As you may be aware Opcare have recently been awarded the contract to provide The Posture and Mobility Services by the Harrow and Hillingdon Clinical Commissioning Groups, within their areas of Harrow and Hillingdon. We are therefore writing to introduce ourselves and some of the improvements planned for the service.

From the 1st November 2015 the phone number for both clinical and technical services in relation to your posture and mobility needs (including emergency repairs) shall be 0208 427 2881

Our new service will be very different. It puts you, the client, at its heart and is built around what you told the local Clinical Commissioning Group you wanted from the service.

We will offer community-based clinics on a weekly or fortnightly basis to bring services closer to you. One of these being within the Oakland Medical Centre in Uxbridge, with further clinic locations being added over the coming months. We will keep a service hub in Harrow, but make it a ‘one stop shop’ for your needs.

The biggest changes in service will be:

·  Shorter waiting times because the referral, assessment, equipment provision and repairs service will be seamless.

·  Therapists and rehabilitation staff will visit at home, at work or at school – in order to increase convenience for clients

·  A returns and repairs drop off point for equipment with an on-site workshop which has stocks of spares

The contact details for the service are as follows
