Re: Y11 Leavers’ Assembly & Prom 2017
I am writing to share with you information regarding Y11 leavers arrangements. A leavers’ assembly will take place on Thursday, 22nd June, and all students are expected to attend school from 9. 15 am in full school uniform. There will be a cooked breakfast provided, followed by an assembly with College Leaders and the Principal. This is a great opportunity for students to celebrate all of their hard work over the year, and they may want to bring leavers’ books for their friends to sign. If students want to sign shirts, we ask that they bring a spare shirt to wear.Students will be dismissed from the school premises at 11.30.
Prom
A reminder that this year’s prom is being held at Chateau Impney on Friday 23rd June. Students are already very excited about this. Student cars and carriages should arrive at 6.00pm,food will be served at 7.30pm and this will allow time for photographs to be taken. The evening will finish at 11.00pm. A photographer will be present at the prom and photographs will be available for purchase after the event.As you are aware, students make their own way to and from the prom. Many parents and families line the driveway into the venue to see students arrive wearing ball gowns and dinner suits in their limousines, carriages and various other vehicles, making a fantastic start to their evening.
Alcohol will not be on sale at the venue and no one should bring any with them or have consumed any prior to arrival. It will also be a non-smoking occasion. Students should be aware that anybody choosing not to adhere to these conditions may be refused entry or may be asked to leave and their parents requested to collect them. Should students choose to bring high value items to the prom such as cameras and mobile phones, it is at their own risk. Students will be able to purchase soft drinks from the bar.

Thank you again for all of your support during the course of Year 11, we look forward to celebrating with the students this week and in August as they collect their examination results. These will be available for students to collect on Thursday 24th August from 10.30am.
