1.  Please advise how many children and young people up to the age of 19 years have received funding from the SELB during the last two fiscal years, if any, and this current fiscal year to date, to attend Glencraig Curative School, Northern Ireland.

Fiscal Year / Number of young people up to the age of 19 years, who reside within the SELB area, who attend Glencraig and the placement is partly funded by the SELB
01/04/2012 – 31/03/2013 / 2
01/04/2013 – 31/03/2014 / 2

2.  Please advise of the costs associated with same, indicating the cost on a per person basis for both full-time and part time attendance if applicable.

Fiscal Year / Cost per person 1
Full-time placement / Cost per person 2
Full-time placement
01/04/2012 – 31/03/2013 / £31,264.00 / £5,708.13
This young person’s placement commenced in the second term

3.  If you cannot answer question 2 above, please advise the full costs, paid by the SELB associated with sending a child/young person to this facility for one year on a full-time basis.

Question 2 has been answered.

4.  Please advise of the parental/carer/guardian financial contribution (if any) required in the said placements.

The SELB is not aware of a parental/carer/guardian contribution.

5.  Please advise of contributions from other agencies (name them) and/or Departments which assist with funding for said placements and percentage of their total contribution on a per person basis.

The SELB would advise that within the SELB area, application to Glencraig Curative School is initiated by the SHSCT because it has been identified by Health that a residential placement is appropriate for the young person.

Where an application is made by the SHSCT with SELB consent, the SHSCT is responsible for 60% of the total cost of the placement.
