Re: 2AB & 2GW trip to Cadbury World – Tuesday 21 November 2017

We have arranged for the students in 2AB and 2GW to visit the Cadbury World on Tuesday 21 November 2017. The visit is planned as an exciting way to learn more about the journey of chocolate and how chocolate bars are made, which has been our current topic in English and Geography.

During this visit students will have the opportunity to taste chocolate. We need to ensure that we are aware of any allergies or food intolerances that your child has that may affect their ability to take part in this activity. Children will also be visiting a 4D cinema which includes movement, flashing lights and smoke machines. If you are aware of any reason why your child should not take part in this experience, please complete the relevant section on the attached consent form.

As with all school trips, it is necessary to ask for voluntary contributions from parents/carers. The voluntary cost of the visit is £8.50 per child which will include transport and admission. We require a voluntary contribution from parents/carers in order to run the visit. We do not wish any student to be excluded for financial reasons and parents/carers who wish their son/daughter to take part but feel unable to make this contribution should contact the school.If sufficient funds are not received then we may have to cancel this trip.

We aim to leave school at approximately 09:30 am by school minibus and will return in time for the end of school day and school transport. Please ensure your child wears school uniform. As the visit is during the school day all students will require a packed lunch. If your child is eligible for Free School Meals please indicate on the attached reply slip if you would like the school to provide your child with a packed lunch.

Please complete and return the consent form together with the voluntary contribution by Monday 20 November 2017.
