- General discussion of MOU
Sandra provided some background on the MOU, the first draft of which was developed just before the summer RAC meeting. The draft was subsequently discussed and revised during the RAC meeting and afterwards by conference call. Wes Lum noted that Ned Parrish did most of the work on the initial draft.
Following discussion of the workplan, a number of additional revisions were proposed (see attached draft dated October 22, 2010.
- Discussion of work plan
The group discussed ways to develop a workplan and identified four proposed activities:
- Discussion of the need for national research agendas;
- Development of examples of successful partnerships between RAC and CUTC members;
- Development of guidelines on facilitating successful agreements between RAC and CUTC members in other states, and
- Sharing and disseminating information about the mission, goals, objectives, and activities of both organizations.
3. What's next?
The latest draft MOU will be distributed to RAC and CUTC members for final review and comment (Sandra will copy SCOR chair John Halikowski).
Marty Pietrucha will ask the ARTBA CUTC support staff to alter the current CUTC member listing web page to provide direct links to each member institution’s home page for their respective centers.
The RAC-CUTC liaison group is invited to plan and facilitate a three-hourmeeting / session at the 2011 national RAC meeting in Salt Lake.
The 2011national CUTC meeting will take place on or about June 13-14 in Portland, OR. A CUTC representative will contact Sandra to discuss the appropriate format and objective of a RAC-CUTC liaison meeting at the Portland meeting.
The RAC-CUTC liaison group will meet during the TRB annual meeting. Bob Plymale and Sandra Larson will identify the time and date for a meeting. Chris Hedges and/or Bob Plymale will identify a location for the meeting.
