Administrative Reports:

Secretary Report: Given by Kevin S.

Last month I had made a motion, #7-7/11, for a recorder. I was given the money, $66.00, and I haven’t bought the recorder yet. I brought back the money with me. But as long as it’s not a problem I’ll just go ahead and buy it this month and bring back the change and receipt next month. I didn’t bring any hard copies of the minutes, so if somebody did want a hard copy of the minutes I could get it to them after area. And I’ll put the RCM report in July’s minutes when it gets to me.

RCM Report: Given by Antoinette B.

Have been attending activity meetings in preparation for Regional Speaker Jam. They’ll allow us to have it at the VFW for $175.00. Region will take care of that expense, the taping of the event, and the coffee. I’ll be going to region on the 3rd Saturday of this month. I’ve also contacted contact Tri-Cities in regard to the Regional speaker jam. I will find out information about the phone line at region.

Subcommittee Reports:

Activities: Given by Julie C.

First of all I like to thank ASC for allowing me to serve.

Activitieshas been meeting every Friday to work on the regional speaker jam. We now have more support and a secretary.

The speaker jam will be held on Sept 17 at the VFW. We are having speakers, a fish fry, and a dance. It starts at 12 and ends at Midnight.

We are responsible for the DJ & food. We found a DJ and have his contract.

So we are asking area for $100 for the DJ and $150 for the food.

In loving Service,

Julie C

H&I: Given by Gena P.

Subcommittee chairperson reported on H&I activity in the community. H&I is fulfilling their regular commitments but have had to discontinue a commitment due to lack of participation of members on the subcommittee. Gena received the requested literature. The subcommittee meeting has been changed to the last Sunday of the month, time and place still the same.

Literature: Given by Lindsay T.

Last month we sold $73.00in literature and this month we bought $684.50 in literature. We paid Freestate and I am turning in that invoice. I am fully stocked on medallions years 1 – 20. I am also turning in a receipt for a new medallion box in the amount of $7.31. I recovered some literature from PR and I cannot take it on, we need to decide what we are going to do with it.

In Loving Service,

Lindsay T.

PR: Given by Rudy C.

Ordered 500 meeting lists. Returned all PR literature and PR key to area.

Review of Group Status and Business:

Standing By Recovery: Alt GSR showed up at today’s ASC

The Lie is Dead: no info.

Start Living Group: no info.

Open Sharing Session:

  • Concern was expressed that there is a lack of people fulfilling commitment to support trusted servants that are voted in at area service and that there needs to be more unity and leadership.
  • A lot of discussion about PR, the impact that it has had & could have, and even if PR were to continue doing just the meeting list & website for now – there is always room for growth in the future.
  • At September ASC we need to start looking for time to meet in October to go over the 2012 Budget.

Adjournment and Serenity Prayer:

Motion #8-10/11: Antoinette B. moves “to close” andMark T. second’s the motion.

Vote: Unanimous – Meeting adjourns at 5:32pm
