“Rainwater Management for Resilient Livelihoods”

Nile Basin Development Challenge (NBDC) Science Workshop – 2013

Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

9 – 10 July 2013

Introduction

The CPWF Nile Basin Development Challenge (NBDC) project works to improving rural livelihoods and their resilience in the region through a landscape approach to Rainwater Management in the Nile basin. The NBDC project aims to produce key policy recommendations for addressing poverty and resource degradation through improved Rainwater Management Systems (RWMS), and to develop strategies and tools for farmers, water and land managers, and other development and extension authorities by providing planning and management tools to improve RWMS. It also seeks to facilitate cross-basin learning and produce public goods for the global research community in agriculture and development.
