DISCIPLINE POLICY

Inappropriate behavior on the part of our residents will result in some form of disciplinary action. Examples include: A verbal warning, time out, restriction, loss of privilege, or work detail. Whenever possible natural consequences will be used. For example, a broken window may be compensated by work detail to cover the cost of replacing the window.

COMPLAINT PROCEDURE

Whenever a child or their authorized representative wishes to file a complaint regarding agency staff or operations they may do so through the following procedures:

If a child has a complaint they have three options. They may…

1.  Make their complaint directly to the Director of Foster Care

2.  Contact their placement worker and make the complaint to them

3.  Contact Community Care Licensing and file a complaint.

If a child’s authorized representative has a complaint the authorized representative should contact the Director of Foster Care who will take the report and take steps to resolve the problem or contact Community Care Licensing to conduct an investigation. The child’s representative may also contact Community Care Licensing at their discretion.

Complaints regarding failure of foster parents to follow Community Care Licensing regulations should be made to Community Care Licensing. It is our preference that we also be notified so we can address any immediate safety concerns.

If the Director of Foster Care receives a complaint involving licensing violations, Community Care Licensing and the child’s authorized representative will be notified.
