Question X.X Sustainable Timber and Chain of Custody

The Council has adopted a Sustainable Timber Procurement policy:

Sustainable Timber Procurement Policy

This policy commits the Council to purchasing timber and other wood products from independently verifiable sustainable sources only, traceable from the forest to the final processor through a clear chain of custody.

Please describe how, across your operations, you ensure that all timber – and timber products – supplied, processed or otherwise handled by your firm is sourced from verifiably legal and sustainable sources. This should include any timber products – such as pallets – which are used in your operations, as well as timber and timber products supplied to your customers.

Your answer should make clear how you monitor the compliance of any subcontractors or supply chain partners from whom you source timber or timber products.
