*Job Description / Macquarie is seeking a senior level Technology Aligned Risk Manager (ARM) to help manage our technology risk management function for the Americas and EMEA regions. The role has been created to assist the Technology Executive on technology risk management matters, and to ensure that technology risk is addressed appropriately within the business.
The ARM is responsible for ensuring there is an effective mechanism in place to:
  • Identify, record and assess operational risks;
  • Provide assurance that controls are working;
  • Monitor and report on operational issues, errors and breakdowns within the business unit
  • Escalate and report issues, where appropriate, outside the business unit.

* Skills & Qualifications: / Key Responsibilities:
  • Help manage Macquarie's technology risk management function for the Americas and EMEA
  • Develop and implement technology vision and strategy for high quality risk management
  • Drive a culture of accountability through the Technology team
  • Drive the process of assessing, identifying and designing mitigating controls.
  • Identify and define critical controls and legal/regulatory obligations and ensure that appropriate assurance is performed
  • Report and escalate technology risks
  • Provide relevant technology risk advice to business management
  • Manage and produce appropriate business-facing risk reporting
  • End-to-end accountability to ensure the delivery and quality of all technology risk processes
  • Provide a conduit into the global risk management teams
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 10 years risk management experience within an IT environment
  • Proven ability managing and delivering IT risk management processes in an enterprise environment
  • Vast knowledge and understanding of legislative and regulatory requirements relating to banking and finance in an IT environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to tailor communications to both business and IT staff as required
  • Experience leading and motivating small teams
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic and results-driven environment
  • Experience with Big 4 accounting firms is highly regarded, but not required

Education: /
  • Business or computer degree is required
