Queensway Association Meeting 13/04/2016

3. DIARY DATES
Friday 29th April – Good Deed Cards to be sent home (as per previous years). Back to school w/c 23rd April.
Friday 13th May – Cake Sale to tie in with Queens 90th Birthday Celebrations. Sending home a paper plate to decorate (6th May) and bring back with cakes on (13th May). To be sold during 1st break time (50p per cake. 1 cake per child). Any left over to be sold after school on 13th May.
Friday 10th June – Non Uniform Day. Bring in a Fathers Day gift.
Friday 17th June – Buy a Fathers Day gift £1.
Friday 1st July – Rainbow Non Uniform Day – Summer Fayre donations (TBC)
Friday 8th July – Summer Fayre 2pm – 5pm (approx)
Fridays after half term will be Ice Lolly Fridays (as per last year) – Double check okay with Mrs Fraser.
Freezer will need to be checked over and will more than likely need to replace the wheels.
4. SUMMER FAYRE
To be held on Friday 8th July from 2pm to 5pm (approx).
Outside Stalls
· Bouncy Castle – Becca
· Parrots, Owls, RSPB, Chrissy’s Used Uniform etc – Ali to contact – Check they have Public Liability Insurace
· Flyers to go home to see if parents would like a stall (will need their own Public Liability Insurance)
Stalls and activities
· Lunch Box Swap? Cheap lunchboxes
· Welly Wanging (winner wins free go on Bouncy Castle)
· Hook A Duck
· Tombola
· Football Shoot (Terry Hall – As per last year)
· Water & Fizzy
· Dress Up Photo Booth?
· Scavenger (Stamp) Hunt
· Junk Modelling Area??
· Class Stalls
All to look into other possible games and stalls
Food – NO BBQ this year, instead there will be a Picnic/Snack Bar. Sold at 50p per bowl.
Raffle – Ali & Nicola to coordinate
To ask for donation of teddies and old (usable) lunchboxes after half term – Ask Mrs Fraser if we can put a donation box in Reception (or somewhere)
Music – David to supply suitable playlist
To start collecting empty 2ltr pop bottles. Extension leads will need to be checked..
5. ANY OTHER BUSINESS
SPORTS DAY DATES
Monday 27th June – KS2 – Parents to stay for picnic lunch. PTA will provide bacon rolls in AM and refreshments all day.
Tuesday 5th July – KS1 – Parents to stay for picnic lunch. PTA will provide bacon rolls in AM and refreshments all day.
Flyers to be sent home for utility warehouse.
Speak with Mrs Fraser re what the staff would like us to purchase and to discuss getting something started on the garden project??
A letter to go home to parents re ideas they have for buying something that the PTA would use for future fundraising events. EG Giant Jenga
PTA website and new Facebook page to be updated etc David to do.
Mrs Fraser would like to meet with PTA to discuss some other events she has in mind.
