NOTES
Route 1 – In addition to off-the-job training and assessment routes, some awarding organisations include On-Site Assessment and Training (OSAT) and Experienced Worker Practical
Assessment (EWPA) options to achieve QCF units/qualifications.
Route 4– Experienced Worker Assessments will be conducted by the registering Scheme Operator or Certification Body who shall assess the Enterprise’s evidence of meeting the
underpinning knowledge and practical competence requirements as stated in this annex. Note: Experienced Worker Assessments enable the competences within this annex to be

Assessment of the suitability of the structure to receive replacement materials
Identifying and carrying out repairs to damaged sheets and components including minor surface coating defects, damaged or missing flashings, roof leaks and condensation problems
Safe removal of asbestos based roofing materials
Installation of fibre cement, standing seam/secret fix, composite panels, built-up roof sheeting and cladding systems, flashings, vents and insulation materials
