1.  Download Software, User & Installation Guide from Dealer web.

www.ariatech.com.au/doorphone

Please read the installation guide. It recommends among other items:

·  Install preferably under cover. While units are water resistant & can be installed with a power supply to run the circuit board heating to reduce condensation units affected by rain may not be covered by warranty.

·  Use Cat5 cable. POE will run the unit, however you can use a 12v/1A power supply.

2.  iPECS instructions.

Note: This quick help guide was designed using a Phase 5.5 iPEC50B on local LAN, Attendant registered on station 100.

Step 1.  Install the iPECS as per training instructions.

Step 2.  Upgrade to the latest 5.5 software version as per Q519.

Step 3.  Back-up your programming.

Step 4.  Enter the key-code(s) for VOIP (SIP) Video Door Phone(s).
See key-code page of dealer web if yet to order. Dial Trans 7* for software serial key no. or via Lock Key Install web page. Use Demo key-code if your order has been delayed.

·  Create passwords in PGM 162. Re-log in via Maintenance mode.

·  Click on System Management > Appliances Control > Lock Key Install. Enter Value into SIP Phone field. Click Save. (Reset.)

·  Log back into programming. Check Appliances Control and to see if Lock Key has installed.

Step 5.  Click PGM 102 and note the current configuration, specifically the next station number.

Step 6.  Next click Device Login and in PGM 443 add next available station number (as per PGM102).
E.g. In the ID field add 103 and a password e.g. 4321 & desired number 103.

Step 7.  In PGM 133 set the “Use Outbound Proxy” to off. (VOIM is sequence 1 on iPECS50)

Step 8.  Increase VOIP channels if you plan to use G711 (iPECS50 Only!) In PGM 101 if VOIP gateway says 4 click sequence 1 New Port as 8 & save. Warning can cause problem if VOIP logical order is prior! See Step 3.

Step 9.  Change your PC IP address within the range of 192.168.1.x

Step 10.  Make sure dip 2 is off (down) and then connect POE Cat5 cable.

Step 11.  Connect to the VOIP Door Phone via IE. Default IP is 192.168.1.250 Username: admin and password: 1234

Step 12.  Change the name to Stn No. + Area (add only up to 12 characters)
E.g. DoorPhone Hostname: 103 Front
(The word Door can be added to the Ring Group Name later.)
(Don’t try add a Station Name in the iPECS since SIP devices supply the name.)

Step 13.  Change the IP address of the Door Phone to a static address within the MFIM range e.g. 10.10.10.7

Step 14.  Add the SIP parameters you just created. SIP Proxy & Registration Server: MFIM address (10.10.10.2) Username: 103 Password: 4321 Auth. Id: 103 Save Changes

Step 15.  Registered successful. Make a test call from a desk phone to the Door Phone. Once active it will show in PGM 102 and 443.

Step 16.  See Section 3 for programming the door phone buttons. (Note: Hotline is not available.)

3.  Basic Door Phone Button Instructions.

* These instructions are kept fairly basic – combinations can be almost endless. Feel free to design and implement your own combinations. Use the Door Phone Manual to program the buttons & check PGM 190 PGM 191 for the group options available.

·  From IE connect to the Door Phone (10.10.10.7 in this example)

In the example where the door phone is on 10.10.10.7 these are the settings:

5.  Internet streaming, continuous viewing & basic phone users.

This is handy for PC users not using the VOIP_Popup program, for checking the video at any time from your web browser and internet streaming.

·  Open in your browser the IP address of the Door Phone.

·  Save as a favourite. (Tip: Save as a quick launch button or as a home page tab.)

·  For internet streaming speak to the IT administrator to set up external or VPN access.

6.  With iPECS LIP-8050V Video Phone.

·  Install the iPECS handset and add to the Door phone ring group.

·  It’s that simple – it just works.

7.  Frequently Asked Questions & Troubleshooting.

FAQ.

Q.1. Can I use Phontage Video to view video from the Door phone?

A. No. (You can answer via Phontage though. Use pop-up or IP address to view.)

If you really need a softphone with video, X-Lite 4 as a SIP extension works. (Needs its own SIP licence.)

Q.2. Can I install the Video Door Phone on my Aria LDK ipe?

A. No. LDK does not have SIP extension. (Yes. However as a standalone solution you could use the PEER to PEER feature, install Video POP on a PC & add IP of the PC under the buttons. Or even register to a SIP provider which will make a call to the customers phone number – this is not covered in this guide. Good idea if they are looking to upgrade to an iPECS at a later stage.)
Q.3. The door phone is not registering what do I do?
A. Test with X-Lite. If this does not work review the above programming instructions. If X-Lite works problem may exist with the door phone. See troubleshooting.

Trouble Shooting.

·  Most faults can be resolved by reviewing the above instructions.

·  The Door Phone seems to crash when the LED’s come on. – Replace the POE8 with a recent 2011 manufactured one. It is a power issue. Other options is to turn off the LED backlighting Mode in the Basic Parameters of the Door phone.

·  Review ATIB-1036 SIP CO trunks and extensions.

·  Step 1 - Upgrade your iPECS software and third party software/firmware.

·  Test with x-lite.

Install X-Lite (free from the web). Add the desired number in PGM443 e.g. 103

Add the SIP account you just created. E.g. Display Name: 103. Username: 103 Password: 4321 Autho user name: 103 Domain: 10.10.10.2 OK

Now Registered. Make a test call. Once active it will show in PGM 102 and 443.
