PV Sharks Booster Club Meeting

February 1, 2016

The meeting was held at Ponte Vedra High School and called to order at 7:00pm. Approx. 18 people were in attendance.

Dan Reiman-President

Dan introduced Courtney Davis, the PGA representative, to present the Chip into Youth TPC ticket fundraiser for PV High. This is a fantastic opportunity for all the sports. Tickets are normally $60.00 but these tickets are $45.00/ticket with $25.00 for every ticket going back to your sport! Tickets can be used any day(no other tickets are sold that way) and can be purchased online or on consignment. If all of our sports combined sold the most tickets we will receive $5000.00 for the Tour. (Bartram Trail came in 2nd last year, PV 3rd) Each liaison will be contacted directly with instructions. All money is due back April 29th. These tickets can be used for the concert Tuesday night and rumor has it that it is a big-time artist!

Dan presented the swim team’s need for a new timing system. The cost will come in 3 phases. The board voted to approve the funding for this project out of general booster funds.

David Scott- Athletic Director

This is an exciting time for our sports teams! David is very encouraged by how successful the sports program has become. Girls’ basketball is the district champs for the first time in history. Boys’ basketball, Boys’ Soccer and Girls’ soccer all have big games this week. Baseball and lacrosse have started too. Please check the athletic schedule on the website for details on times and places. Would love to have a great fan turnout at all of these events.

Fields at this time last year were in terrible shape. Fields are benefiting for the sanding and new drainage system. We are not where we want to have the fields but making great progress. No standing water.

Please note that funding for bleachers was approved by board at last meeting but mistakenly not put into the minutes. The bleachers are expected to be here in time for the track meet.

We are a new teacher coach Mel and assistant Jana. They are very upbeat and positive.

Kevin Hanney- Fundraising

Shark tixs were distributed to all sports liaisons. Each athlete is allotted 10 tickets to sell. Each ticket is $5.00 or 5 for $20.00. All money raised through these tickets goes directly back to the sport. Each liaison is to keep track of the numbers that correspond to each athlete. Kris Brown is the coordinator for this and will begin money collection on April 1st. Her email is if you have questions.

All sports are expected to donate a large basket, silent auction and live auction items.

Items are due by April 15th. Jane Rollinson at has graciously offered to be our contact for the silent auction. Jane will keep a running list of the donations on Google docs and will give the link to Missy Greene for distribution to liaisons.
