Put Your Chapter on the Walkway of Honor

VIRGINIA WAR MEMORIAL – Fund Raising

PUT YOUR CHAPTER ON THE

"WALKWAY OF HONOR"

At the October VCOC meeting, the VCOC voted approval to purchase a 8x8” brick, at a cost of $500, for placement on the "Walkway of Honor" at the Virginia War Memorial (VWM). Following this vote a VCOC member suggested each chapter be invited to purchase a 4x8” brick (cost $250). The chapter bricks would surround the larger VCOC brick. If our 18 chapters purchase bricks, MOAA will leave an excellent legacy for people to see when they visit the VWM. The VWM staff agreed this was a great idea and asked if I would coordinate the effort. I agreed as this would give VCOC control on the arrangement of the bricks. At the VCOC Legislative Committee meeting in November, application forms were given to chapter attendees and it was requested that the forms and checks ($250) be sent to me and I would deliver the entire package to VWM upon receipt of material from all 18 chapters.

Chapters (and individuals) can also obtain

the forms at www.vawarmemorial.org (donation

section)then make a copy and mail the form with

payment ($250) to me at Don Kaiserman,

308 Tarrytown Drive, Richmond Va. 23229. Please send the forms /payment before our "Storming the Hill" day on 25 Jan 2010, in Richmond. Just in case, I'll have forms with me on "Storming Day" but we'll have a verybusy day with our legislative activities.

I wish to thank all 18 chapters in advance

for participating in this program. If you have

questions, please call me at (804) 740-4134.

Please assist by addressing this issue soon.
