Go Play coordinator – Job Specification /
Purpose:To co-ordinate and deliver a variety of safe, creative and fun play activities for children and young people across the Smethwick area. This includes contributing to the planning, monitoring and evaluation of sessions and activities while maintaining and enhancing the quality of the provision.
Responsible to: Head of Engagement
Duties:
- To plan, develop and deliver Go Play sessions from a variety of locations, this will include evening and weekend working.
- Coordinating and supporting a team of delivery staff including; staff rotas, facilitating CPD and other associated tasks.
- To provide safe, creative and appropriate play opportunities for 6-12 year olds (up to 16 year olds with additional needs).
- Contribute to the engagement of a minimum of 1000 unique participants per year.
- Ensure the safety, security and well-being of service users and staff/volunteers at sessions to include risk assessments, accident and incident reporting.
- Perform administration duties to support programmes. For example updating VIEWS, organising additional activities that add value, preparing resources, displaying examples of work produced.
- To ensure that all monitoring returns are completed promptly and accurately and to the required standard for funders and stakeholders.
- Positively and proactively promoting ‘Go Play’ at The Albion Foundation using a variety of media outlets.
- To work with the Head of Engagement to develop constructive relationships with key stakeholders to help meet local needs.
- To ensure all activities are undertaken in line with The Albion Foundation’s health and safety policies and procedures.
- To undertake continuous professional development as directed by line management.
- Any other duties deemed appropriate by your line manager.
