SUBJECT: ADDENDUM #1 Bid 114083 Outdoor Warning Sirens

The following change is hereby part of this bid: “The purpose of this RFB is to solicit bids from responsive and responsible bidders to provide Outdoor Warning Sirens. This addenda addresses questions submitted.

Question #1:

Are we are able to get a wiring schematic of the new ATI Status Monitoring Sensors to incorporate the installation of this equipment into our proposal?

Answer #1:

The schematics are proprietary to ATI and can not be provided at this point in the process.

The system uses LEM USA, Inc. model HASS-50 sensors for high current monitoring and Tamura L01Z050S05 sensors for low current monitoring. Status monitoring includes Motor/Blower function for Alert and Growl Test commands, Rotation function for Alert and Growl Test commands, DC battery power status, and AC power status.

Question #2:

Will the county work directly with the local utilities or should the costs to provide electrical service be included in the bids. If the costs are to be included in the bids, how should this be quoted if the specific locations have not yet been determined?

Answer #2:

The costs to provide electrical service should be included in the Site Work pricing. Bidders are expected to be familiar with the sites and to propose the costs to provide electrical service to the area indicated on the maps provided in the attachment to the bid request. The selection of the final location of new siren installations is anticipated to be a joint effort between the County, the Vendor, and the local jurisdiction. Change orders will be negotiated if a significant modification of location is necessary.

Please acknowledge receipt of this addendum by noting “Addendum #1 Received” on the bottom of the Signature Affidavit when you submit your bid. If you have any questions regarding this addendum, please contact me at 608/267-3523.

Sincerely,
