The Bard’s Birthday Bash Our Super-Shakespeare event is this Friday at lunchtime, in the library. Trio of judges, several pupil performers, two entertainers and loads of fun.

Would You Like to Perform at Our All The World’s a Stage Event? All pupils, who would like to perform a speech, monologue or excerpt, at The Bard’s Birthday Bash on Friday, should go to the library TODAY at lunchtime. Information and preparation for the Big Event on Friday.

Shakespeare sonnet competition Entries are now on display at the library door. The competition will be judged by Mrs Grant and the winners will be announced on Friday, at the Bard’s Birthday Bash event in the library.

Future Leadership Opportunity Callum Stuart, our senior library assistant, will be leaving school soon and his leadership position within the library will become available. This is a brilliant opportunity for new senior students – to help organise library events and activities – and could also be useful for CVs and personal statements. The experience gained will be beneficial, both in and out of school. Please speak to either Callum (S5) or to Mrs Toonen, if you are interested in finding out more about this leadership role, which will begin in June.

Merchant Navy (Training) – applications are now open for the next intake (September 2016) for both Deck and Engineer cadets to study at NAFC Marine Centre in Shetland. Modern Apprenticeship (Accounting) – NHS Grampian are opening this training programme to individuals aged 16 – 19 to be based within The Finance Team at Woodend Hospital, Aberdeen. Applicants must possess a minimum of 5 National 5 Grades with Maths at grade A or B, English and three others. You should already have achieved this at the time of application. Higher Psychology lecturers

Although the final date for the college programme is 27th April, Higher Psychology lecturers will be holding revision sessions, which we would ask you encourage the pupils to attend, should they not have exams. The sessions will be each Wednesday for the whole of May from 09.30 to 12.00.

S4-6 Biology Study Support Biology study support is available every Wednesday at lunchtime with Mrs Shaw orafter school from 3.25-4.25 with Mrs Gordon, Mrs Kerr and Miss Heptonstall for all Biology courses. Come along to the Biology department to get help with class work, access resources, to work on problem solving or data skills or to work on revision techniques and practice SQA past papers.
