R E S O L U T I O N
Resolution granting voluntary suspension of a portion of the passenger stage corporation certificate held by diversified paratransit, inc. dba inland express (psc-4077)
Diversified Paratransit, Inc. (Applicant), a corporation, doing business as Inland Express, holds a certificate of public convenience and necessity to operate as a passenger stage corporation (PSC-4077). The certificate authorizes Applicant to conduct on-call service between certain points in the counties of Riverside, San Bernardino, Los Angeles, and Orange on the one hand, and Los Angeles International, John Wayne, Burbank, Ontario International, and Palm Springs airports, and certain harbors and AMTRAK stations.
By letter dated October 13, 2000, Todd Baker, Applicant’s General Manager, requested voluntary suspension of the portion of its PSC certificate that authorizes service to Ontario International Airport for a period not to exceed one year. Mr. Baker indicated that the corporation is experiencing financial problems.
This is an uncontested matter in which the resolution grants the relief requested.
Accordingly, pursuant to PU Code Section 311 (g)(2), the otherwise applicable 30-day period for public review and comment is being waived.
THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED that:
- The portion of the passenger stage corporation certificate held by Diversified Paratransit, Inc. (PSC-4077) authorizing service to Ontario International Airport is suspended on the effective date of this resolution.
- The authority to suspend operations granted herein shall expire one year from the effective date of this resolution or upon earlier resumption of service.
- Before resuming operations, Applicant shall make written request for reinstatement of its certificate to the Rail Safety and Carriers Division and comply with General Orders 101-E, 104 and 158-A.
- Upon Applicant’s compliance with Ordering Paragraph 3, the Rail Safety and Carriers Division is authorized to reinstate the suspended portion of certificate PSC-4077.
